Abstract
The purpose of this study were to investigate the effects of regular physical activity between exercise groups and control group in elementary school students(Rhythmic group, n=10 & Ballet group, n=10, control group, n=10; 120min, 3times/wk, carrier of 2 years more than in exercise groups). On physical fitness, muscle strength(Back strength), muscle endurance(Sit-up), cardiovascular endurance(Harvard step test), flexibility(Trunk flexion, Trunk back extension), power(Sargent jump), agility(Burpee test), reaction time were measured. On body composition, % fat and BMI were measured. Statistical analysis used to one-way ANOVA. Muscular endurance and flexibility of rhythmic gymnastics and ballet group were significant difference with control group(p<.05). Muscle strength, power, and agility of rhythmic gymnastics were significant difference with those of ballet and control group(p<.05). The % fat of rhythmic gymnastics and ballet group were significant difference with those of control, but there were not significantly difference among three groups on BMI and cardiovascular function. In abdominal strength and sargent jump, rhythmic gymnastics group and ballet group are significantly higher than control group(p<.05). These results were conclude that rhythmic exercise is more effect on health-related fitness and body composition of elementary school students.
